Three years in solutions engineering at a Chicago fintech, from individual contributor to director.
Aeropay is a fintech company that offers bank-to-bank payments as a secure, lower-cost alternative to cards. I joined as a Solutions Engineer, working directly with enterprise prospects and clients on payment integrations, and was promoted twice over three years — first to lead the Solutions Engineering team, then to Director.
I spearheaded the creation of Aeropay's Implementations function, standardizing how we guided clients through onboarding and compliance and cutting down on delayed launches. I served as the technical point of contact for one of our largest platform partnerships, leading the integration work and training their team on our product.
Along the way, I worked closely with Compliance, Product, and Engineering to improve how we built and shipped for clients. I streamlined integration workflows and shaped the product roadmap based on what I was hearing directly from partners.
Aeropay is where I learned to move between technical depth and executive-level conversations. Scoping integration with an engineering team in the morning and presenting to a F500 leadership team in the afternoon tested my cross-functional skills and adaptability. These skills in technical translation, influence, and leadership have become my superpowers, which I'm now honing at HBS.
I'm looking for full-time opportunities after HBS, and internships along the way. If something seems like a fit, I'd love to hear from you.
